Maxie L. Clark, 76, of Pleasant Grove, Arkansas passed away on October 28, 2018 at his daughter’s home in Ward. Arkansas. Maxie was born in Locust Grove, Arkansas to the late Corbit and Georgia (Snapp) Clark. Maxie worked for many years at Georgia Pacific and was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Maxie was a loving son, brother, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

Maxie is survived by his two daughters, Melinda Clark of Ward, Arkansas and Lynne Clark Stokes of Brandon, Vermont; one brother, Jimmy Clark of Batesville, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Corey Stokes and wife Jephen, Blair Stokes Camarillo, John Clark Stokes, and Rae Lynne Stokes; five great-grandchildren, Josh Stokes, Jendrei Stokes, Novelle Camarillo, Aden Stokes, and Emery Camarillo; along with many extended family and friends.

Maxie was preceded in death by his parents, Corbit and Georgia (Snapp) Clark; beloved wife, Ruth Marie “Perchy” Clark and one sister, Dorothy Clark Winningham.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, from 4:00-6:00 PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services are Thursday, November 1, 2018, 10:00 AM at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Grove, Arkansas with Brother Gary Don Fletcher officiating. Interment will be at St. James Cemetery in St. James, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are John Clark Stokes, Jimmy Clark, Jason Clark, Tyler King, Corey Stokes, and Josh Stokes. Honorary pallbearers are Blair Stokes.
