He was a US Army Veteran, having served during the Korean War era. He was formerly a guard and a fireman at the Newport Army Ammunition Plant.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 sisters, Hope Davis, Berneice Cox, Betty Scott, Polly Roemack, and Jenny Riggin; and 3 brothers, Eugene Davis, Malcolm Davis, and Glen Davis. He is survived by one sister, Carolyn (Phil) Miller of Louisville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, November 2, 2018 from 1 to 3 pm at Brown-Mack Funeral Home in Montezuma. Funeral services will be at 3 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Keith McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery In Montezuma.
