Jewel Gordon “Polly” Aylor 83 of Etlan passed away October 26, 2018 at he residence. She was born September 13, 1935 in Syria and was the daughter of the late James Euin Gordon and Lelia Weakley Gordon and wife of the late Thomas Nelson Aylor. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Arlene G Tanner, Marion G, Tucker, Helen G. Jones, Laura G. Wayland, and Daisy G. Wayland; brothers, Eugene Douglas Gordon, Theodore Edwin Gordon and Hugh Maxwell Gordon.
She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Aylor Racer and husband Herman Racer. Jr. and their children, Matthew Thomas Racer and wife Caitlyn Racer and Casey Pauline Racer, all of Aroda; a son, Thomas Nelson “Tommy” Aylor, Jr. and wife Susan of Lignum and their children, Tess Elizabeth Aylor and Logan Thomas Aylor both of Richmond
The family would like to thank special friends and caregivers, Shelby Jean Hull, Jeanette Butler, Barbara Woodward, Karen Czar, Sharon Hicks; and brothers-in-law and sisters in-law for all their love given to Polly.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am. Monday, October 29, 2018 at Etlan United Methodist Church, 217 Church Hill Rd. Etlan, VA 22719 with interment in Etlan Cemetery. Pastor David LeFon and Pastor Dan Yowell will officiate. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
