Mrs. Effie Booe Dies at Her Home In Veedersburg

Veedersburg - Mrs. Effie Booe, 66 died at her home in Veedersburg at 9 P.M. Friday. she had been ill for a week following a stroke of paralysis.

Mrs. Booe was born June 18, 1885, near Crawfordsville, the daughter of Taylor and Hannah Davis Alston. She married June 23, 1903 to Balser Booe. Mrs. Booe was a member of the Sterling Methodist Church.

The survivors include the husband; five sons, Charles, Russell, and Lawrence Booe all of Veedersburg, Orval Booe of Hillsboro, and Eugene Booe of Bartonsville, Illinois; three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Hay of Danville, Illinois, Mrs. Dorothy Rasmussen of William Bay, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Bety Reynolds of Veedersburg, 26 Grandchildren, two brothers, William and Howard Alston, both of Veedersburg, and two sisters, Mrs. Florence Harper and Mrs. Ida Ellingwood, both of Veedersburg.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Monday at the Veedersburg E.U.B. Church with Rev. Floyd Everly in charge. Burial will be in the cold Spring Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the Fishero Funeral Home.
