Casey was born January 30, 1924, in Tyndall, SD, to Frank and Mary (Schneider) Balvin. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1943, until his honorable discharge in 1945. Casey lived in several communities during his lifetime but raised his family in Pierre, SD.
Casey is survived by his sons and their families, his daughter and her family, seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home in Hot Springs. Committal services will be held 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD, with full military honors.
