Richard (Dick) was a Bakersfield native and on December 6, 2015 joined his wife, Betty and his two sons, Chris and Craig in Heaven.
Dick attended East Bakersfield High School, class of 1947, and was a retired sheet metal worker. He served in the Korean War and continued to support the military through his involvement in the American Legion Post #26 and donated 24 gallons of blood to Houchin Blood Bank.
He was devoted to his family and will be missed by his daughter, Claire (Ted); daughter-in-law, Lori; grandchildren, Curtis, Valerie, Brett (Crystal), and Lindsay.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Honor Flight of Kern County (www.honorflightkerncounty.org/). There will be a
Memorial Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 10:00 am with graveside services to follow at Greenlawn Mortuary
and Cemetery, 3700 River Blvd.
