ALLEN, WILMA I. (BOWMAN), 85, died Thursday, May 17, 2007 at her home in Milltown. She was born on November 1, 1921 in Leavenworth, IN to the late Roscoe and Gladys Bowman. She was a member of the Milltown Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Crawford County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Allen; brothers, Jerome, Sheldon, Harold, and Lindell Bowman; sisters, Cora Ellen Howell, Evelyn Ruth Van Winkle, and a granddaughter, Laura Allen Finch. Survivors include sons, Harlan (Mary) Allen of Bloomington, Benny (Mary), Marvin (Carol), Wayne (Linda), and Larry (Carrie) Allen all of Milltown; sisters, June (Herman) Summers of Milltown, Norma (Ray) Jenkins of Marengo, and Lorene Batman of Seymour, and 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great -great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Milltown Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Friday and after 9- 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Brown- Newkirk Funeral Home, Milltown, IN and after noon until time of the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Bro. Lloyd B. Roberts will officiate.
