He was born on July 2, 1945, New England, North Dakota to Helmer and Leona (Schroeder) Flaaen. After High School, he was employed all over doing many different jobs that include driving truck, working in the oil fields, but he was by trade a Master Carpenter. He was known for his creativity and ingenuity. He lived the last of his years in Kansas tending his hobby farm raising goats and various fowl.
Arthur is survived by his loving family: wife Teresa of the home; daughters, Traci (Jim) Hauck of ND, Sandie (Steve) Haltom of MN, Alyssa (Brandon Boyd) Ryan of MN, Patricia (Dan) McClintic of ND, Della Krenz of ND; son, Arthur W. (Deserae) Flaaen of SD; one sister, Sandy Hagemeister; one brother, Marvin Flaaen; and a host of loving family, pets, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six siblings, and one grandson.
Dove Cremation and Funeral Service of Junction City, Kansas is assisting the family.
