W. F. STEINHAGEN SUCCUMBS AT MICHIGAN CITY
William Frederick Steinhagen, age 72 years, a former resident of Valparaiso, died at 3 p.m. Sunday at his home in Michigan City. He was born in Valparaiso on Jan. 28, 1869, and moved from Valparaiso to Michigan City 20 years ago.
He was married Oct. 23, 1896, at Chesterton, to Mary Affeld, who survives. Also surviving are three sons: John, South Bend, and Edward and Clarence, Michigan City; four daughters: Mary, Michigan City; Mrs. Fred Schultz, Hobart; Mrs. John Nadratowski, Chesterton, and Mrs. Earl Lowe, Detroit; one brother, Herman, Valparaiso; and two sisters, Mrs. Sophia Knie, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Christine Livings, Hegewisch, Ill.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ott funeral chapel in Michigan City. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
