Iris June died of injuries she received in a one-car accident 2 miles No. of Jacktown on a Lincoln County dirt road, (HWY 171). The road now paved, is half way between Rossville & HWY 62. She was driving the auto after, it ran over a large rock in the road, went 321 feet out of control before smashing into a bar ditch and a tree. Joe was thrown through the windshield. Iva June was thrown under the back seat when it lifted up & they were about to tow away the car when she started to cry, she was 131/2 months old.
She was a very special person, still very missed. The only child of Gladys Watson

Iris June was my favorite cousin, she was wonderful to children, I was one, since I am only 5 years older than her oldest
