Doris I. Paddock
Greenfield - Doris I. (Hines) Paddock, age 92, of Greenfield, formerly of Abington, IN, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018. She was born on September 29, 1926 in Florence, Kentucky as the daughter of John and Mary (Barnes) Hines. Doris married the love of her life Dale Paddock and they set about making their dreams come true raising five children, whom she loved dearly.
She was employed at JCPenney for many years where she worked in the shoe department. Doris was a member of Stone Valley Church in Richmond. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Karen Cox, Kathy (Rick) Neuman, and Mary (Clayton) Wright all of Greenfield; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving partner, Dale Paddock; parents, John and Mary Hines; daughter, Lynda Jones; son, Larry Paddock; brother, Eddie; son-in-law, Ted Cox; and grandson, Ricky Neuman.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Anthony White will be officiating. Burial will follow at Abington Cemetery in Abington, IN.
