NEPHI - Clyne Marsden Leavitt, 78, died Monday, November 7, 1988 in Nephi.
He was born November 14, 1909 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada, to John and Ann Eliza Marsden Leavitt. He married Louise Bowers, April 13, 1932. She died April 24, 1973. He married Euna Jackman Cooper, September 15, 1973.
He was educated in Nephi schools. He worked as a plumber and owned an appliance store, Leavitt Plumbing, in Nephi.
He was an active member of the LDS Church serving as a bishop's counselor both in Chino, California and Kent, Washington; a ward clerk, home teacher and was president of the gospel doctrine class at the time of his death. He and his wife, Euna, worked in the Manti Temple and Provo Temple for 10 years.
He was on the Sanpete committee for five years.
Survivors include his wife of Nephi; two sons and three daughters, Mrs. LaMar (Bonnie) Havens, Seattle, Washington; Wayne Leavitt, Ontario, California; Mrs. Frank (Patreecia) Thomas, Holden; Mrs. Clair (Betty) Havens, Ontario, Oregon; David Leavitt, Lakewood, California; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Tom (Jackie) Davis, Buhl, Idaho; Mrs. Jack (Carol Lee) Erbland, Benica, California; four step-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Dale (Isabelle) Carter, Nephi, Mrs. DeLois Robins, Bountiful.
Funeral will be Friday, 11 a.m., Nephi 2nd Ward Chapel. Burial in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi.
