On 16 October 1940, Ellsworth registered for the draft, signing his name "Ellsworth C. Lynn". The draft card describes him as 5'11" tall, weighing 231 pounds, and having hazel eyes, brown hair, and a ruddy complexion. It states also that he had a tattoo on his right forearm consisting of a heart inside a wreath with the word "Brother". The tattoo was for his baby brother James, who had lived just two days. Tragically, their mother died the following day.
In 1961, Ellsworth and Beulah adopted a son, who was named Charles. According to a granddaughter of Charles, both Ellsworth and Beulah were cremated. Ellsworth was a brother of my father, Milton Omer Lynn, Sr.
