M. A. Allebaugh, of this city, received a telegram yesterday from Regina, Northwest Canada, announcing the death of his son, George Yancey Allebaugh, who succumbed to Spanish Influenza on October 18.

Mr. Allebaugh, who was well known in Rockingham County, was born at Lacey Spring twenty-eight years ago and just previous to leaving the states, was a citizen of Harrisonburg.

At the time of his death the deceased was a member of a squadron of the Royal Northwest Mounted Police, a newly formed organization preparing for service in Siberia. The telegram stated that he was buried in the Mounted Police Cemetery with full military honors.

Surviving are his parents, one sister, Miss Margaret Allebaugh, a Red Cross Nurse in the service of the United States Government and one twin brother, Samuel Allebaugh, of Boston. He is also survived by numerous relatives, having a wide family connection throughout the county.
