Mrs. English retired from Stafford County after 28 years. She was a talented lady and artist. She painted beautiful paintings and made many quilts with love for her family. Mrs. English and her husband, Raymond, won jitterbug dance contests together. She loved to sing and listen to Hank Williams Sr.'s music. Mrs. English was very proud to be a full member of the Patawomeck Indian Tribe and her native American ancestry.
Mrs. English was a member of Ramoth Baptist Church. She had a strong love for her family and was very compassionate.
Survivors include her children, Beverly A. Hager, Yvonne Payne, Danny Ray English and Keith Allen English; brother Gene Autry Allen, Gary Neil Allen; sister Marita DeSchazo; aunt Matty Price Shelton; grandchildren Michelle Hager, Roy Hager, Amber Payne, Anita Bourne, Kristy English and Lydia McBee; and great-grandchildren Sam, Maddie, Avangeline, Tiffany, Stephanie, Deanna, Isaiah, Dennis and Chad. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin Price Allen and Clara Belle Allen; husband Raymond Edward English; son Allen Ray English; granddaughter Toni Ray Stanley; and her beloved dog, Presley, who passed a few days ago.
