Charles "Chuck" P. Bolt, 57 of Chaplin formerly of Willimantic, died July 26, 2009 after a brief illness. Born in Boston, MA Chuck grew up in Willimantic and attended Windham High School. It might surprise some folks to know that when he was young, he was a meticulous dresser, even insisting that his pants be ironed. He had a great smile and a quick sense of humor. He was a good swimmer and a fearless diver and played a mean bass in a few bands. As he grew up, he lived life on his own terms and was one of the original rebels. He restored a couple of Harleys from what started as a pile of parts; a '52 Pan Head with monkey bars and a killer paint job and a '36 knuckle head which consumed more oil than gas but sounded great. He was good with his hands and could repair or build most anything. This was good because most of the stuff he bought needed fixing. He lived life hard and did not have a long bucket list when he said goodbye. He touched a lot of lives and most would have to admit that he did have his moments. He left with special memories of Betty, Molly and Wanda, people who made his life better, and he hoped their lives are rich and full. He left with most of what he owned so if you are holding IOU's, frame them. He was a brother who seemed to be able to do anything he tried. He was a son who always had a special place in his mom's heart. When he was a young man, his house was always the place to be. He will be missed. Chuck leaves his mother, Frances Bolt, of Ft Myers, FL; a sister, Carolyn Kincaide Wright and her husband Martii Wright of Ft Myers, FL; two brothers, Bob Bolt of Willimantic and Dean Bolt and his wife Kathy Bolt of West Hartford; and eight nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Ernest Bolt.
