October 19, 2018 brought to an end 85 wonderful years of the life of Roberta Arlene Kinnamon. Roberta was born December 29, 1932 in Norman, Oklahoma the daughter of John and Loreta (Vandeveer) Abshier.
She went on to attend school in Norman and later met Charles E. Kinnamon at the Norman Navy Center. The couple were married and from this union came two boys, Charles and Martin.
Roberta had many hobbies which included bowling at the Penn 44 Bowling Alley, she had a strong affection for the city of Norman, she enjoyed camping with her family, taking road trips and seeing all parts of Oklahoma, playing the piano as well as cooking. However her love and passion was her family and her church.
Left to cherish her memories are her two sons; Charles Kinnamon and Martin Kinnamon, one bother; Donald Abshier, four grandchildren; Cassandra Kinnamon, Justin Kinnamon, Nova Savage and Vincent Boyd as well as two great grandchildren Alanna Boyd and Avery Andrews in addition to many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters; Jo Ann Gardner, Betty Hoglund and Jonnice Abshier as well as her brother T.C. Abshier.
Funeral Services for Roberta will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday afternoon, October 25, 2018 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 10 AM – 8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home as well as Thursday morning from 8 AM – Noon prior to Roberta being taken to the church for visitation from 1 PM until service time.
Services have been entrusted to the care of Resthaven Funeral Home.
