Born November 23, 1923 in Monument Township Kansas, he grew up in Kansas and was a graduate of Kansas University where he met his wife Adrea. They were married September 4, 1949. Kenneth purchased a bee business and they moved to Kindred ND. He was a beekeeper, craftsman, sportsman, father and a member of the Calvary United Methodist church. He was an Army Veteran from World War II and football alumnus of Kansas University. One of his favorite scripture verses was Ephesians 2:8,9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
Survivors include brother Bryan Sperry; brother-in-law, Roy (Elizabeth) Hinkel; daughter, Kim (Neil) Schepp; sons Mark (Becca) and Thad Sperry; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren; along with many dear nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by wife, Adrea; father, Peter Everett; mother, Olleva; brother Corwin and sister Theo Hatch.
Relatives and friends are welcome at Fredrickson-Boulger Funeral Chapel, Highway 15, Kindred, ND for a visitation at 5:00 PM and prayer service at 7:00 PM, Friday, October 19th. Funeral services will be performed at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 20th at Fredrickson-Boulger Funeral Chapel with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, 1825 46th Street, Mandan ND.
