Johnnie Maxine Braxmier Easley, 85, of Corsicana went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on Saturday October 20, 2018. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-8pm at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 2pm in the Chapel at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home with Tim Easley officiating. Pallbearers will be Seth Easley, Sage Easley, Chase Carver, Marshall Easley, Jason Napps, Bobby Easley and Johnny Lynn Easley. Burial will follow at Campbell - Elrod Cemetery.

She was born on February 6, 1933 to Johnny and Myrtle Braxmier in Corsicana, Texas. She married the love of her life Lester Lee Easley June 3, 1951 at Missionary Baptist Church. They lived and raised their family in Corsicana. She was a homemaker and involved in her children’s schools and activities. She and Lester went on to start their business Lester’s Quick Stop where she was a loved and well-known figure. Their customers often became more like family and friends. She and Lester were loyal Corsicana Tiger Football fans, often travelling to away games. She was a mentor, friend and a good listener. She was kind and compassionate and never forgot anyone’s birthdays sending cards or taking something to them. Her smile could light up room. She is preceded in death by her husband Lester Lee and her mother and father and her youngest brother Bill Braxmier and his wife Joyce. She is survived by her daughter, Lind Napps and husband Kenneth of Mabank; sons, Rick Easley and his wife Sherry of Kyle, Johnny Easley and his wife Nell of Corsicana; Michael Easley and wife Sheri of Waxahachie and son Tim Easley and wife Michele of Corsicana. She is survived by 14 grand children and 17 great grandchildren; Brother Walter “Bubba” Braxmier and wife Clara of Waxahachie. She is also survived by many family members including nieces, nephews, cousins as well as many friends.
