She graduated from Hill City High School and Brown Mackie Business College. Betty worked as a Bookkeeper for Roach Hardware and Height-Atlas Chiropractic Office. Betty enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and going to their sporting activities. She was a member of Mater Dei Assumption Parish.
Betty married LaVerne C. Lang in Collyer, Kansas on June 26, 1954. He predeceased her on February 15, 1992.
Survivors include her children, Jeanna (Rick) Nicol, Tony (Monalisa) Lang, and daughter-in-law, Connie Lang all of Topeka, a sister, Dorlea Jenkins of Phoenix, AZ, and a sister-in-law, Jan Meyer of Oshkosh, NE, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by two sons, Roger Lang in 1961 and William Lang on Oct. 10, 2018, and seven siblings, Nancy, Bill, Lois, Andy, Sylvia, Glenn and Mary.
Betty will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Sunday, October 21st, where her family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 22nd, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
