Age 94, of Hana, Maui, passed away on December 13, 2013 in Upcountry Maui. He was a teacher and dean of students at the Kamehameha Schools, after which he became the Educational Trainer, at the Hawaii Government Employees Association, and then Deputy Director.
He is survived by sons Puni and Keoni Akana, daughters Leilani Ramsey and Puanani Akana, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service is set for Saturday, January 18, 2014, at the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Memorial Chapel, at the Kamehameha Schools Kapalama on O’ahu. Visitation is from 1:00 p.m, with the service to begin at 2:00 p.m.
Another service & burial in Hana will be held at the Wananalua Congregational Church at a later date
