Jerry G. Baker, 83 of Huntington passed away at 1:20 pm on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Markle Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Jerry was a 1954 graduate of Huntington High School. He was the owner and operator of Baker & Sons Construction for 36 years. He was a member of St. Peter’s First Community Church where he served as a Deacon and Elder; Huntington Kiwanis; LaFontaine Board and Carpenters Union Local 232 of Fort Wayne. Jerry loved to work with wood, making all kinds of things for his family, stools, chairs and decorative items. He loved to travel.

Jerry was born on January 7, 1935 in Huntington County, the son of Floyd and Lelilam (Landis) Baker.

He was united in marriage to Carol Mullarky on June 6, 1954 in Huntington. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include: three sons: Richard (Barbara) Baker; Scott (Robin) Baker; Kirk (Sherry) Baker all of Huntington; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and all of his friends at Markle Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters: Betty Grimes and June Brineman.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.

Interment will be at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Huntington County.

Memorial donations can be made out to Lewy Body Dementia Association in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
