COMER – Teresa Faye Adams Russell, 54, wife of Roy Russell, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Russell was born December 4, 1961, in Commerce, the daughter of the late William G. Adams and Evelyn Fortson Adams. She was a homemaker and attended Amazing Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by bothers, Charles Adams, Ronnie Adams, Dale Adams; and a sister, Linda Brookes.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Russell; son, Lance Aaron Russell, Crawford; daughter Angie Russell Matthews, Comer; step-daughter, Krista Etheredge, Winterville; stepson, Shana Russell, Watson Mill; sister, Robin Adams, Hartwell; and grandchildren, Justice, Evan, Carrie, Jacob Caleb, Chase, and Haley.
Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at Vineyards Creek Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. to lie in state till the hour of the services. Interment will follow in Paoli Cemetery with Shane Russell, Tony Russell, Jody Russell, Brent Russell, Brad Russell, and Evan Etheredge serving as pallbearers. The family will be at the home of Roy’s sister, 176 Herring Dr., Comer, and will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 18, at Berry Funeral Home.
