He was born in Newstead and operated his own farm at the Ertman Road address all his lie. He retired 10 years ago.
He is survived by his widow, Elida (Brewer) Criswell; eight daughters, Mrs. Doris Hicks of California; Mrs. William (Marjorie) Wruck, Mrs. Maynard (Lila) St. Onge Mrs. Rachel Enzinna, all of Lockport; Mrs. Emma Van Buren o Costa Rica; Miss Violet Criswell, Mrs. Walter (Velva) Van Buren and Mrs. Dalbert (Jeannette) Cummings, all of Lockport; our sons, Robert J., Ervin R, Jr., Dennis J. and Marshall L. Criswell, all of Lockport; 47 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Eva Van Buren of Clarence Center; a brother Charles Criswell of Akron, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call rom 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gaul Funeral Home, 263 East Ave, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Donald C. Medoff of the Royalton Baptist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Acacia Park.
