Aaron was born in Crestline, on January 30, 1963 to his father Joe A. Cozad, Crestline and his mother, Paulette “Skip” (Forshaw) James, Galion. He married Geaine (Thompson) Cozad on December 29, 2009 and had been together for 20 years.
Aaron lived in Crestline his entire life. He was a graduate of Crestline High School, Class of 1981, where he excelled in football, and was a member of the 1978 undefeated team. He was employed at Kronis Power Coating as a Lab Tech/Reactivation Tech in Mansfield for over twenty years. Aaron was a Michigan Wolverine and Dallas Cowboy fan. He enjoyed medal detecting, and weight lifting. He loved animals and was a big history buff.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his father, Joe and Nancy Cozad, Crestline, his mother, Paulette J. “Skip” (Forshaw) and Gerald James, Galion, two special nephews, Griffin Wyatt Thompson, Carter Michael Thompson, his step-siblings, John and Amanda Shade, Galion, Kyle and Cheri James, Galion, Eric and Karen James, Fayetteville, NC, Tracy and Scott Whitcraft, Cleveland, TN, Edward Mulvine, his aunts and uncles, Trudy and Shan Wood, Leavittsburg, Dee Dee and Sharon Forshaw, Crestline, Terry and Patty Cozad, South Vienna, his maternal grandmother, Kathleen “Memo” Obrecht, Galion, and his dog, Weedy.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Eric Cozad, paternal grandparents, Glen and Rosella Cozad, maternal grandfather, Floyd “Lefty” Forshaw and uncle, Lynn Cozad,
Friends may call Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main St. Crestline. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Crestline, with Pastor Diana Seaman officiating.
