Mrs. Sandra L. Howard
October 13, 1946 – September 29, 2015

SANDRA LOUISE HOWARD, of San Antonio, TX, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at the age of 68.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronnie; parents, Mary and Cecil King; and brothers, Roger King and Steve King.

She is survived by her two children: son, Jeff and his wife Krista of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Jennifer Howard Kicinski and her husband Kristian of Seattle, WA; and four granddaughters, Kyla and Kadey Howard, and Eva and Lucy Kicinski. Sandra is also survived by her eldest brother, Larry King of Orlando, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sandi was born on October 13, 1946, in Lubbock, TX, the second of four children born to Mary and Cecil King. She graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1965, and attended Texas Tech University before becoming a stewardess for American Airlines in 1967.

Sandi married Ronnie Howard in 1967. She left behind her flying days when Jeff was born and was a devoted wife and mother. Always active in her children's lives, Sandi was a cub scouts leader, brownie leader, school room mother, and church volunteer. Despite her diagnoses of multiple sclerosis in 1982, she continued to live a full and enriching life. Some of her favorite things to do were working in her small garden, often growing "volunteers" from seed, cheering on the Texas Longhorns with her husband Ronnie, making her specialty, toffee candy, and especially doting on and shopping for her grandchildren. She was a treasure and inspiration to all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.

Funeral service was Tuesday, October 6, 2015.
