Doyle F. Ballenger, 84, of Fort Payne, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018. He was born January 8, 1934 in DeKalb County to the late Shade and Ida Arther Ballenger. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Wilson Funeral Home with burial following in Walkers Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 until 7 p.m.

He is survived by his children, Garry Ballenger and wife, Nadine, Kim Harrell and husband, Phil, and Pam Kimmons and husband, Troy; sister, Edith Ballenger; grandchildren, Brandon Ballenger, Lance Ballenger, Jake Ballenger, Brad Harrell, Becky Beck, Chelsea Finks, and James Kimmons; great-grandchildren, Luke, Jameson, Ansley, Jillian, Brooks, Emberly, Grayson, Madison, and Riley; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Grady, Junior, Preston, and Ed Ballenger, and sister, Mizelle Alred.
