MAYSVILLE — James “Jimmy” Owen McKee, affectionately known as Paw and MaGoo, passed away on Oct. 10, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
He was born on April 24, 1937, in May’s Lick to Letha Crawford McKee and Newton McKee.
His parents; his beloved wife, Betty Jean Berry McKee; his sister, Carrie McKee Newdigate; and a grandson, Thomas Riggs, preceded him in death.
Jimmy was a Mason County School bus driver, worked for the City of Maysville as a garbage collected and retired from Dravo Lime. He and Betty were life-long residents of Maysville.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Dawn McKee Riggs (Tony); his granddaughters, Michelle Dawn McKee (Jon), Heather Riggs, Brittany Riggs Kiskaden and Nicole Thompson; and his grandson, Dylan McKee (Kayla), all of Maysville. He is also survived by his niece, Dianna Cappella of Boston, Ma.; nephews, Glenn Berry of Deptford, N.J., Bobby Berry of St. Cloud, Fla. and Todd Gelter of Maysville. His great-grandchildren held a special place in his heart, Jerryn Lindsey, Jerris Redden, Zayden Walton, Leeanna Walton, Landon Riggs and Elliauna Kiskaden. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be on Oct. 14, 2018 from noon to 2 p.m. with services immediately following at Brell and Son Funeral Home.
