Charles E. Malone Jr. of Salem, Missouri passed away on October 8, 2018 at the Salem Memorial District Hospital at the age of 65. Charles was born July 15, 1953 in Salem, Missouri to the late Charles E. Malone and Bertha (Brooks) Malone.
Charles was united in marriage to Margaret (Calvin) Malone on March 5, 1975 and to this union one son was born. Charles served as Supervisor of District 2 Dent County Road & Bridge Department for many years until his health forced him to retire. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and BBQ chicken. He was a very proud and supportive Dad and Papaw and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Charles is survived by his mother, Bertha Malone of Salem, Missouri; son, Calvin Malone and wife Julie of Salem, Missouri; step-daughter, Wayna Dean and husband Jason of Springfield, Missouri; brothers, Robert Malone of Salem, Missouri, Larry Malone of Salem, Missouri; grandchildren, Cason and Colby Malone of Salem, Missouri; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Calvin) Malone; father, Charles E. Malone; step-daughter, Pamela Hurst; and an infant sister.
Funeral services for Charles E. Malone Jr. will be held 11:00AMFriday, October 12, 2018 at the Salem Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary. A visitation for family and friends will be held 5:00PM-7:00PM Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Chapel. Interment will be held in the Morrison Cemetery in Salem, Missouri. Memorials are suggested to the Morrison Cemetery.
