Mrs. Julia Agnew, wife of James Agnew, died at her home on B. J. Thursday, July 28 at 8:35 a.m., had been in good health until recently and had only been sick a few days when grim Death claimed her for its own. Mrs. Julia Agnew was the daughter of Elder Joseph Wrightsman. She was born January 22, 1837 in Bote__ county, Virginia. When a child, with her parents, she moved to Sangamon County, Illinois. Was united in marriage to J. M. Agnew by Rev. Thomas Hanks. December 28, 1873 at Ozark, Mo. At the age of fourteen, she embraced the Christian religion and united with the missionary Baptist church. In 1858, her family moved to Christian County, Missouri where she united with the Mount Zion Baptist Church. [no more photocopied]
