Larry Morris of Lampasas, Texas died Monday October 8, 2018 at Rollins-Brook Community Hospital.

Larry was born February 23, 1940 in Lampasas, Texas to parents Dan Chesley “Cotton” Morris and Virginia A. (Harrell) Morris. Larry grew up here and was a life- long resident of the county. He married Bette Lou Rose in 1961. Larry was a firefighter at Fort Hood for many years. After retirement he was a cattle rancher. He was a member of Central Christian Church, where he served as a deacon and elder. He was also a member of Saratoga Masonic Lodge # 546 A.F and A.M. Larry also enjoyed refereeing 6-man football games many years. Larry is survived by his wife Bette Lou Morris, Daughter, Pam Willis and husband Robert, Son, Randy Morris and wife Sonya, Sister, Lawana Blair

He was preceded in death by his parents, by infant brother, Chesley Wardell (Sonny boy) Morris.

Funeral service was Thursday October 11, 2018 at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery.
