Carole Ann Mooney, 77, died Saturday, December 22, 2012, at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013, at St Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. The family will greet friends from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion, with a vigil service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Tom; two sons , Tim (Lisa) Mooney and Sean Mooney. Four grandsons, Spencer, Bryce, Mike and Austin Mooney, two brothers Robert Connor and Jim (Micki) Connor and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Carole was born August 19, 1935, the daughter of Miles and Virginia (Peyton) Connor in Toma, Wisconsin. She graduated from Lansing Immaculate Conception High School. On August 22, 1957, Carole married Tom Mooney in Lansing. She worked at Cryovac as a Line Operator for over 30 years, retiring in 1999. Carole was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She will be remembered for her generous and giving nature, and as a loving wife, mother, and "Nana".
