Chittum enjoyed traveling and visiting her relatives.
Survivors include her sons, Virgil Nez of Los Gatos, Calif. and Charles Chittum of Denver, Colo.; daughter, Gina MacDougall of Dallas, Texas; brother, Ernest Smith of Lupton; six grandchildren.
Chittum was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Chittum Sr.; parents, Ida Lee Yazzie and Kee John; brother, David Smith; sisters, Bessie Jose and Betty Chischilly; and grandmother, Yenilthdbah James.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Houck Chapter House following services.
