EAST DURHAM Bruce R. McCullough, 66, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2018. Bruce was born in Rochester to the late Francis and Murial McCullough. Bruce loved God above all else and tried his best to alleviate the suffering of others. He was a lover of railroading, a student of history, an avid old movie fan, a lover of music. Bruce loved talking to anyone and every one and never missed an opportunity to tell a very bad joke. He worked his dream career of dispatching trains and spent his retirement time loving on his grandchildren. Besides his parents, Bruce was predeceased by his brother Bill McCullough. Survivors include his wife Cathleen Casey McCullough; his children, Matthew (Heather) McCullough, Kathryn (Tadge) O'Brien, David (Ryanne) McCullough, Patricia (Angelo) Pecora, Caroline Wasial, and Sarah (Kristoffer) Wolfram; grandchildren, Calynn, Emily, Benjamin, Zebadiah, Michael, Adam, Giana, Casey John, Joseph, Kore, and Cillian; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Charlie, and Cassidy; sisters, Sharon (Ron) Conrad, Effie (Tom) Glitch, Janice (Jay) Tedesco, and Beth (Jerry) McCullough; brother, Mark (Thea) McCullough; and several nieces and nephews. Bruce was looking forward to the birth of a new grandson this month. He is also survived by his dear friends Dave and Meghan Smith; and his former wife Anne Marie McCullough.
