JIM LEE "JIMMIE" BRUDERS (1936 - 2018)
January 4, 1936 - July 28, 2018

Jimmie (Jim) Bruders passed away July 28, 2018 after a courageous 2-year battle with lung cancer.

He was born January 4, 1936 in Fairfield, Iowa, the youngest of 6 children born to William (Bill) and Lucretia Bruders. At age 7, the family moved to Sedro-Woolley, WA. Jim graduated from Anacortes High School and then joined the United States Marine Corp.

On April 27, 1957 he married Mary Lynch in the chapel at St. James Cathedral in Seattle, WA. Jim loved God, his family, his Catholic Faith, his country and the US Military, especially the Marine Corp.

Jim is survived by Mary, his wife of 61 years; his 3 sons, Bill (Laura), Thom (Mary), and Dennis (Barbara); 5 grandchildren, Emily Bruders Cerretti (Nick), Angela Bruders, Rebecca Bruders, Jimmie Bruders, and Ruby Bruders Ocampo (Ivan); and 5 great-grandchildren, Hudson Cerretti, Hazel Cerretti, Kieren Flemming, Julian Torres and Noah Ocampo.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, August 7th at 11 AM, at St. Margaret of Scotland Church, 1408 W. Dravus St., Seattle, WA 98119. Reception to follow.

Private interment at a future time.
