According to my research, Nathan Care Posey was married twice - first to Susan Hannah Gross in about 1856 and second to Maria R (or Maude R), surname unknown, in about 1871.
According to the Veterans Schedule of 1890 Census, Nathan served in the PA Infantry during the Civil War: Regiment 177 , Dec 1862 - Aug 1863 and Regiment 101, Feb 1865 -Jul 1865 .
His death certificate states that his death occurred in Boiling Spring Managerial District of Alleghany County, Virginia and the informant was G. W. Posey
