SHREVEPORT, LA – A Service celebrating the life of Ina Sibley Jamar Cowan, 93, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Bro. Bobby Sibley. Interment will follow at Blanchard Cemetery, Blanchard, LA. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. Saturday until service time at the funeral home.
Ina was born May 3, 1925, in Hatton, AR to Annie Lou Wallace Sibley and George Menard Sibley and passed away October 3, 2018, in Bossier City, LA. She was a member of Blanchard Methodist Church, Blanchard, LA. Ina had a deep faith in God that never wavered through some very difficult times in her life.
Ina was preceded in death by her first husband, James Edward Jamar, second husband, Jerry Cowan, daughter, Diane Jamar, son, Jim Jamar, sister, Louise Fruge, brothers, Dee Sibley, Howard Sibley, Tom Sibley, Ted Sibley, George Sibley and Ned Sibley, and her parents. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Janice Hughes and husband Craig; son, Tim Jamar and wife Kay; brothers, Bobby Sibley and wife Relda and Johnny Sibley; grandchildren, Blake Hughes, Meredith France, T. R. Jamar, Jana Brunken and Callie Dean; and ten great-grandchildren.
