She was born July 27, 1928, in Flint, Michigan to Alfred and Gladys Myers. She worked at Fisher Body until she moved to Punta Gorda in 1963, where she worked at East Elementary School in dietary and then worked at Medical Center Hospital. Helen was a very active member and usher at Cleveland United Methodist Church; and was involved with Pop Warner football. She was a loving and caring mother who cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by sons, Rick, Randy and Ronnie (Andrea); daughter, Rhonda (Gary) Farabee; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia, Patricia and Betty; and beloved dog, Boca. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, John; parents; brothers, Elmer and Jerry; sisters, Barbara and Vivian; and daughter-in-law, June.
A memorial service to celebrate Helen's life will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at Cleveland United Methodist Church.
Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice.
