CLARENCE E. MURPHY , 76, of Memphis, retired asbestos worker, died Sunday at St. Francis Hospital after a brief illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Memorial Park. He was past president and secretary of Asbestos Workers of America Local 90. Mr. Murphy , the husband of Lorene Murphy , leaves a daughter, Cheryl M. Vignola of Springfield, Ill.; three sons, Clarence L. Murphy of Memphis, Ronnie E. Murphy of Austin, Texas, and Larry C. Murphy of San Antonio, Texas, and seven grandchildren.
