Agnes Marcene Locht, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandma, 82, of Fond du Lac, died peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Liberty House where she resided for a little over a year. The former Agnes Henning was born September 22, 1936 in Tomah, WI to the late Otto and Ecco Henning. She attended Tomah public grade and high school and graduated in 1954.

In 1956 at the age of 20 she moved to Milwaukee where she lived for a short time with her brother, Charles and Donita Henning until she became employed at Firemans Fund. She met Dietrich Locht in 1956 and a year later on October 26, 1957 was married at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Tomah, WI. The two moved to Dietrich’s home town of Fond du Lac, where Agnes on August 10, 1958 gave birth to Debra Kay and 11 months later to Sandra Jean on July 6, 1959.

Agnes worked seasonal jobs at Lomira Canning Company and Miles Kimball in Oshkosh. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, puzzles, traveling, and drawing. Her love for drawing led her to take classes through the mail. She was a past member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and was baptized June 14, 2009. In 2016 she joined Faith Lutheran Church.

She is survived by two children, Debra (Tony) Pickart of Fond du Lac and Sandra (James) Adelman of Franklin; four grandchildren, Joshua (Connie) Pickart, Angela (Michael) Krause, Zachariah (Katrina) Pickart, and Jacob Adelman; five great grandchildren, Rosalee and Lillian Krause, Avery, Aiden, and Ashton Pickart. She is further survived by a brother-in-law, Joseph Lincoln of Tomah and sister-in-law, Donita Henning of Menomonie Falls. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dietrich Locht; four sisters, Zona, Veda, Vonnie, and Eda; five brothers, Lee, Roger, Bertice, Loren, and Charles; four sisters-in-law, Gwen, Lucille, Iris, and Marie; and two brothers-in-law, Hank (Eda) Backus and Jesse (Zona) O’Connor.

The visitation will be held Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church, 55 N. Prairie Road, Fond du Lac. Burial will follow in Estabrooks Cemetery.
