Pierre--Madeline B. McKinney passed away on Monday, February 04, 2008.

She was born in Pierre, SD on November 18, 1908 to James and Flo Holmes Maresch. She earned her education in Pierre. In 1926 the family moved to Sioux City where she entered Nettleton Business College and worked as a secretary for several years. She enlisted in the WAAC's at Des Moines, IA in 1943, she left with an honorable discharge in 1955. She married Jack McKinney in 1945. They lived in Allerton, IA before moving to Corpus Christi, TX.

She was a member of Oak Park Methodist Church and V.F.W. Auxilary. She moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 2001 to be with her sister and family. She resided at Knopf-Wards Assisted Living. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Eli Maresch and her husband, Jack McKinney and a great niece, Stacy Rocco.

She is survived by her sister, Josephine Keuck; two nieces; a great nephew; and also by great friends. Burial was held at Seaside Memorial Park.
