Johnny D. Houston, Sr. (76) passed away on September 28, 2018, after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer. He died at home with his wife and children by his side. He was born in Dyersburg, TN on July 6, 1942. He graduated from Millington High School in 1960. In 1967 he married Shirley Jourdan, the love of his life. During their 51 year marriage, they took great pleasure in traveling together, and camping in their motorhome. Johnny loved his friends and family dearly and was always there for them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Pauline Houston and his son Jason Dwane Houston. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jourdan Houston, his children,John (Casey) Houston, Jr. and Shelby (Derek) McCord and his sister, Jean Bailey. He was known as "Papa John" to his grandchildren, Ryan, Joshua, Breanna, Marshall and J.D. who all loved him dearly and will never forget their time spent with him. Visitation and memorial with his family will be Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 2:00-5:00 pm at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East
