Marge was born July 28, 1922 in rural Whiteside County to Frank and Anna (Bier) Badtke. She married Ralph M. Pannier in 1941 and they raised two sons. They farmed in rural Whiteside County until Ralph’s death in 1957. She later married Dwight Kettler in November of 1972. Marge worked at Climco Coils in Morrison until her retirement in 1984. After Dwight’s passing in 2012 Marge continued to reside in Morrison. She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church, their WELCA ladies group and the Morrison Church Women United. She enjoyed many activities including gardening, playing cards, fishing, golfing, bowling and especially quilting with her friends at Bethesda. And of course, following the Chicago Cubs. Later in life she took up painting and was very good at it; many of her relatives are fortunate to have some of her art work.
Marge is survived by two sons, Everett (Nancy) Pannier and Kenneth (Ellen) Pannier; one step-son, Gary (Carol) Kettler; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren and five step great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; an infant son, Keith; two sisters, Freida McTique and Dorothy Huizenga and three brothers, Albert, Henry and Herbert.
A heartfelt thank you goes to her daughter-in-law Nancy, who was her special caretaker for the last four years.
