Girl Whose Fiance Disappeared on Day of Wedding Is Married
Norristown, Pa., Dec. 18.-It was announced today that Spencer Faunce, aged 23, and Miss Margaret Baird, aged 17, had been married on Saturday at Wilmington, Del. When the girl left home she told her mother that she intended taking a trolley ride to Allentown. Instead she went to Wilmington.
The young bride was to have been married two years ago to a young man who disappeared on the day of the wedding. Later he turned up in Harrisburg, claiming that he had been drugged. When Miss Baird refused to have any more to do with him, he attempted suicide by jumping into Stone Creek. A friend rescued the lover.
