He was born on November 19, 1931 in Micaville, AL. Mr. Allen served our country in the U.S.A.F. during the Korean War. He owned and operated Allen's Auction Service for 19 years and Allen's Auto Service for 29 years at the corner of Stoner and Centenary. He loved people and his businesses reflected that..In his spare time, C.D. enjoyed fishing, playing cards, playing the guitar and harmonica, racing and most of all "horsetrading". He never missed a grandkids sporting event and loved spending all the time he could with his family. Mr. Allen was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
His father, Hugh Allen and mother, Gladys James Allen, and a sister Loyce Allen preceded him in death. He is survived by his children: Lynn Allen and wife Tanya, Chris Allen and wife Glenda, Stacey Durante and husband Robert; sister and brother-in-law: Marlene and Edward Shaw; grandchildren and their spouses: Jennifer and Jim Pierce, Joy Lynn and Tyler Johnson, Aubrey and Lance Cohorst, Adam and Layne Allen, John Cloice "J.C."Allen and R. Dakotah Durante; great grandchildren: Kaitlin, Ainsley, Cale, James and numerous nieces and nephews. Although divorced his wife of 30 years and the mother of his children Shirley A. Brown, remained close and loving friends.
