Second son of Beatrice and Larry Holliday, born at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. Oak Brook was his first home, he lived there until his early 20's. He met his wife, Denise and moved to Arizona. They had 1 daughter, Heather Sue and 1 grand daughter, Jenna Marie. Dennis and Denise divorced when Heather was a young girl.

Dennis was always a free spirit, lived life on the edge and his smile and laugh was contagious. He had a very warped sometimes twisted sense of humor but when he loved someone, he truely loved them. His daughter Heather was truely the love of his life. His nickname for her was "Lil' Buddy". He suffered from untreated depression which related directly to his alcoholism. He spoke of suicide for many years but like alot of people, he always reached out for help. His daughter Heather told me that before Dennis passed, he made a trip to her home in Hawaii. He made the comment to her that he wanted to sell his business and retire, move to Hilo HI so he could be closer to her and her daughter. His dream of retirement and Hawaii unfortunatly never came true.

On Sept 19, his body was found by his employees. Due to his own mental pain, his only relief he could find was to take his own life. Died from a single gun shot wound to his head, he left behind people who truely loved him but twisted as is may sound, are somehow happy he found his peace at last.

I loved my brother with all my heart and although, I will always carry guilt around with me for not being there with him, I know God forgave him for what he did. He resides in heaven with his father and all of those who passed before him.

If his death taught me one thing, it is always be there for those people who cry out for help.

I love you Big Bro....Lil' Sis
