Partee; Son of James Madison Taylor and Jennetta Riley (Cherokee girl, Death of her mother on the Trail of Tears in Dec 1838, believed to be the daughter of Felix Riley and Unknown mother. Jennetta was 12 years old when she was left alone near the home of Sam Stroud and metis wife Hazey. Thomas Jefferson and Amanda named one of their daughters after his mother. Whether she was born blind or became blind due to an illness is not known. On March 12, 1898, Thomas Jefferson Taylor killed his daughter Jennett and then himself near their home in Fulton County, Arkansas.
