Twila Ruer, age 80, of Lorain, passed away September 23, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Ronald. Loving mother of Dalton Ruer (Laura), Myrna Ferry (Dan), and Candiese Dunphy (Jason). Cherished grandmother of Michael (Kelsie) and Tim Ferry, Ryan and Owen Dunphy, Ashley Sullens (Charles), and Hillary Carpenter (Josh); great-grandmother of seven; and sister of Carol Gerda.
Twila was a pre-school Sunday school teacher at New Haven Baptist Church, where she was a member for 23 years.
She enjoyed reading the Word, crocheting and other crafting, making cakes and candies, doing adult coloring books and jigsaw puzzles. Her greatest joy was raising her three children.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N. Ridge Rd., Sheffield Twp. and at the New Haven Baptist Church, 5290 French Creek Rd., Sheffield Village, on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
