Aaron's mother seems to be Hazel Minnie Waffe, who was born in Maquon, Illinois. Aaron's parents were married in Illinois. See "Illinois, County Marriages, 1810-1940," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KFVY-5KW : 4 November 2017), Albert A. L. Mc Kee and Hazel Minnie Waffle, 24 Apr 1912; citing Knox, Illinois, United States, county offices, Illinois; FHL microfilm 1,412,066.

In the 1920 census, Aaron was with his father, Albert McKee and two brothers, William and Dale and they were living with his father's sister, Emily McKee in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. It appears as if Hazel passed away or his parents were divorced.
