Arlene Campbell Lundgren | 1935 - 2018 | Obituary

April 11, 1935 - August 12, 2018

Arlene Campbell Lundgren returned home to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on August 12, 2018. She was born April 11, 1935 to Edward Alexander Campbell and Alice Ella Christensen in Los Angeles, CA. Arlene was the 5th of 9 children and spent most of her childhood years in Claypool, AZ. In her adulthood, she made her home in Taylor, AZ, where she raised her 4 children.
Arlene was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had a strong faith and testimony in her Savior Jesus Christ and the power of tithing. She was a great example of service to others. Even as a struggling widow raising 4 children, she was always willing to help others in need. She was a perfect example of resourcefulness, hard work and humility. She was one of the first women hired at the Snowflake paper mill and was famous for her pies that she brought to the paper mill luncheons. Arlene was an avid Phoenix Suns fan. She mastered the lost art of handwork like hand embroidery and crocheting. Her children and grandchildren will surely treasure her handmade gifts for generations to come. Arlene took such pride in her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved to dote on them all.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Lundgren. 3 children, Addie Gilliland of Brimerton WA, Diana (Matt) Armijo of Taylor, AZ, James Kelly ( Bonnie) Cook of Goodyear, AZ. 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, sisters Tina Broadbent and Verna Orr and one brother, Richard Campbell and many nieces and nephews.
